Across the Universe by Beth Revis

Amy, scientists, soldiers, and their families are cryogenically frozen on the spaceship Godspeed to travel for 300 hundred years with the hope of populating a new planet, Centauri Earth. Things go wrong, however, and two hundred and fifty years into their trip, Amy awakens, finding herself in a newly evolved society where someone is prematurely thawing the human cargo. Alternating narration between two main characters, Beth Revis’ Across the Universe is a fast-paced, science fiction thrill ride with mystery, romance, and dystopian layering. The first chapter is one of the tensest, most chill-inducing openers, and the story’s rapid twists and turns make it a superb kick-off to Revis’ trilogy.
